Just seen the advertisement of this new show in ABS-CBN last night and somehow i was intrigued. So, i searched for some details about this new show: Strawberry on the Shortcake which will be aired this Saturday.

Here is the synopsis:

At some point, Irie Manato began to withdraw himself from the world. Even when picked on, it's not the real Irie, but an act. However one day he meets a strange girl - Misawa Yui. Yui, who finds the tedium of everyday life unbearable, teases Manato with her almost too upfront and honest manner. Alone and afraid Manato wavers but finds himself drawn to her. But his feelings for Yui are doomed to be unrequited. --TBS

This is the first Japanese series ABS-CBN have invested. I don't know if it will get high ratings but the series is pretty interesting. I just hope they change the time slots or even did a lot of promotions to get the attention of the public.

Roxanne Guinoo bida sa Ligaw na Bulaklak!

Prinsesa ng Banyera will soon to end this coming May 26, 2008 and Ligaw will be the replacement for that afternoon drama on ABS-CBN. Roxanned will be playing the lead role as Leya Alegro opposite Sid Lucero as Billy.

From the teaser itself, i could really say that she is getting more and more sexy. She is now accepting mature roles already. Hmmnn..i am also intrigue of what is the significance of the horse in her life. We are thinking like the transformation of human to a horse? Just like Angel Locsin in Lobo where she also transformed? Well, that is what we are sure to find out.

Anyways, if you are interested of the cast they are Marc Abaya, Ara Mina, Jodi Sta. Maria, Coco Martin, Dominic Ochoa, Nonie Buencamino, Isko Moreno, Desiree del Valle, Chokoleit, Joem Bascon, Erich Gonzales, Matteo Guidicelli, Carla Humphries, Jaymee Joaquin, Ron Morales, Kristofer Dangculos, Smokey Manoloto, Arlene Muhlach and Pen Medina. I am impressed with the good cast. I'm pretty sure this new offering of ABS-CBN on afternoon drama will definitely get high ratings just like Prinsesa ng Banyera.

Regine Velasquez as Kim Sam Soon

My cute neighbor Kring2x was actually the first one to inform me that GMA-7 will also be doing a local version of Korean Novelas just like ABS-CBN. The first soap would be Kim Sam Soon. This is one hell of a great show I was watching before because I super like the story line and the character of Kim Sam Soon. Nakakatawa kasi ang mga gestures niya and everything. And I also believe that Regine Velasquez really fits the role not because she is also getting fatter now but also to the fact that Regine is indeed a very good actress. I have no doubt about it even before. She can do everything.

I wonder what will be the opposite drama of this on ABS-CBN when it will be finally aired. Is it the localized version of My Girl or Betty La Fea? Hmmnn...interesting. Who do you think will get more audiences? We will just see. Well, good luck to all of you.

Anyways, Mark Anthony Fernandez will play the role of Cyrus and Wendell Ramos will play the role of Dr. Henry Kim. Do you think it will be a good combination with Regine Velasquez? Well, that is what we will soon to find out.

Kim Chiu as My Girl (Pinoy Version)

I was surprised when i learned that Kim Chiu will be playing as Jasmine for My Girl (Pinoy Version). (Positive Surprised). I believe she suits the role because she is "chinita" and she looks like Lee Da Hae also.

It is no doubt that blessings are pouring in on the career of Kim Chiu since she won as the Pinoy Big Brother first teen edition winner. ABS-CBN even gave her a birthday bash on her 18th birthday. With Gerald Anderson also as her partner, they now are being tagged as country's ultimate loveteam. They had series of team-ups that are indeed a success like Sana Maulit Muli, Maligno (now airing) and the coming Primetime Show, My Girl.

I hope this local version of My Girl will get high ratings. We are excited to watch this show and Good Luck to all of you especially Kim Chiu.

Sugoi Doraemon!

Doraemon is one of my favorite comic or cartoons series from Japan. I love the fact that GMA-7 invested on this good show. A lot of kids love it and even adults who are still children at heart like me for example (toink!). I don't wake up that early but everytime i hear our neighbors TV already airing the show I would immediately switch our TV on.

Just a trivia, don't you know that this series started way back 1969? Cool right? This is really superb that is why this show is still gaining high ratings up to now. It has already been translated into different languages also. By the way, credits are also given to the dubbers behind Doraemon especially to the voice of Nobita.
